Using the same pattern as the Wilfong Anniversary Quilt, I pieced this with cloth foundation fabric. The piecing was easy, because the pattern was printed on the foundation fabric. However, the hand-quilting was extremely hard with the extra layer in the quilt! I entered the quilt in the 2011 WSQ show, as well as the Spokane Interstate Fair the same year, where it won only a white ribbon. The judge said the points were bulky—thanks to all the layers. Nonetheless, I love these colors and enjoy the 66” by 72” quilt as a throw on my sofa.
